Headsets are a small part but an important one in your setup, the spin of your whole bar and deck depends on them, so it’s really important to assembly it correctly.

This component fits in the headtube of the deck, you must ensure it fits correctly, the fork should spin smoothly. In our shop we work with the best brands in the market so you can buy the best headsets for you scooter.

Types of headsets

There’s differents stiles of headsets, where they can come threaded or threadless, but the most used are standard and integrated headsets.

Standard headset: this one is made to be fit in standard decks and needs the 2 bearing cups to be installed in the headtube (top & bottom)

Integrated headset: this type is made to go with integrated decks, it doesn’t need other installation than placing the bearings in the top & bottom deck cups and then forks ring and top cap.

Sealed or open bearings ¿which are best?

We can find both in market, their quality is their main difference.

Open bearings tend to stash dirt on its inside from time to time, which makes its harder to control it’s direction. Meanwhile with sealed bearings you don’t have that many dirt problems, their from a higher quality and longer lasting and just a bit more pricey.
